Laurie Newman Gallagher, Esq., boasts over 35 years of experience in providing legal research services to her peers in the legal profession. She is personally involved in every expert witness research project, meticulously designing a protocol using a proprietary criteria sheet she developed for The Legal Expert Witness. This sheet serves as a strategic plan for identifying the best expert witness candidates for your case.
Laurie graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law, which is ranked among the Top 25 law schools in the country. Her comprehensive background includes years of practice as an attorney, along with roles at Westlaw, Lexis, Shepard’s, and BNA, where she served as a legal research coordinator and educator.
Laurie’s journey with expert witnesses began over 20 years ago when she was a staff attorney for the Silicone Breast Implant Multi-District Litigation. Even before law school, she worked on the Agent Orange class action involving expert witnesses.
Since 2007, Laurie has collaborated with hundreds of attorneys and expert witnesses as the CEO of her own expert witness consulting practice. Over the last decade, she has created a proprietary database of expert witness information covering nearly every discipline. This database is the core of the work-product at The Legal Expert Witness Network, setting it apart from other expert witness search services.
Laurie is a member of The Alabama State Bar, The American Bar Association, and several ABA committees, including the Expert Witness Subcommittee of the Section of Litigation. Additionally, she is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.
